About Norva
There is a very natural balance to life. Tuning in to this balance and opening up to the infinite possibilities within every human is the foundation for approaching health from an acupuncture perspective. I have seen this concept succeed time and time again in my 12 years of private acupuncture practice in Manhattan. I witnessed it firsthand during my four years of training at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine- where I earned a Masters of Science degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine, which encompassed both acupuncture and herbal medicine. In the years since, I have continued to learn new techniques and specialties so that I am continually expanding my offerings to give each client a more complete treatment.
I approach patient care with the aim to help my patients heal and harmonize not only on the physical plane but also on the emotional and spiritual one. Treatments with me never consist of purely just acupuncture. A typical treatment may include massage, muscle testing, acupuncture, cupping, meditation, yoga, nutrition, and/ or herbal medicine. I specialize in treating physical pain, stress and anxiety, and fertility. I also offer facial rejuvenation and microneedling. Each treatment is individually attuned to the specific needs of that client. It is in this way I help patients' bodies heal so that they can move forward on their journey with health and a greater sense of balance.
I began a journey that changed my life forever.
Over the past 10 years of practice, I have continued my education, studying Five Element acupuncture with Lonny Jarret, Whole Heart Connection with Thea Elija, the Pulse System and Classical Pulse System with Ross Rosen, Neurofunctional-Electro acupuncture with Dan Wunderlich, Facial Rejuvenation, and the Classical Acupuncture system with Jeffery Yuen. I have also volunteered at home at community clinic in Brooklyn as well abroad, training local healthcare practitioners in auricular acupuncture and treating over 1050 indigenous people with Global Healthworks Foundation in Santa Cruz del Quiché, Guatemala.
